These days, finding free activities that are fun are not always easy to come by. I discovered the Lowe’s Build and Grow Workshops about two years ago, and they have come to be a staple of activity for our children. I love in Central Florida, where there is no shortage of theme parks and family activities, but most cost a small fortune, especially with a family the size of mine. This is why I just had to post about the Build and Grow Workshops, they are nation-wide and always free of charge.
What is the Build and Grow workshop, you ask? Simply put, it’s where you register your kids ages 3 to 13 to build their very own wooden project. Lately the projects have been Disney movie-themed and have included Monsters University Mike & Sulley Scarers, a neat box, and Toy Story Vehicles. Not only do the kids get to learn how to build these projects with the included instructions, but they are great for display or playing with after they’re done. The kids get a real sense of accomplishment after they’ve finished building something, and it’s a skill that they can sure use later on in life!
You can register for the Build and Grow workshops right here or by clicking on the logo above.
